Spherical plain bearing, series GE, steel-on-steel, DIN ISO 12240-1, treated with molybdenum disulphide mos2, requiring maintenance. For use with high multidirectional loads.
SPB Bearings manufactures GE...E, GE...ES and GE...ES-2RS series radial spherical plain bearings with steel-on-steel sliding contact surfaces. These bearings are designed for applications requiring reliable load transmission and oscillating or tilting movements.
The series covers bore diameters from 4 mm to 300 mm, depending on the design. The GE...E series is available in bore diameters from 4 mm to 12 mm, while the GE...ES and GE...ES-2RS series cover bore diameters from 15 mm to 300 mm.
The outer ring is made of carbon chromium steel and is fractured, hardened and phosphated. The inner ring is also made of hardened and phosphated carbon chromium steel. The sliding contact surfaces of both rings are treated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) to support sliding performance and wear resistance.
GE ES and GE ES-2RS bearings feature an annular lubrication groove and lubrication holes in both the inner and outer rings. These features facilitate lubricant distribution during operation. The GE E design does not include these grooves and lubrication holes.
The GE ES-2RS design is equipped with seals on both sides to help protect the sliding contact area against contamination and retain lubricant.
